This is another face sketch, again not really looking like the original painting. I seem to have made her look too modern, but at least it's identifiable as a face. Cornelius Johnson. Portrait of a Lady, 1623

Like your drawing. I also love to draw. Had a friend in school, Shelia.. We thought mothers were a special species back then . They did motherly things, like bake goodies for us and sew dresses, and wipe snotty noses, and patch us up when we got hurt. but Shelia's mom drew pencil portraits. Shelia would smuggle them to school to show us, and I thought if I could only draw that well I could die happy! i've been by your sister's blog before. I'm happy to meet you....
